Beans & Brews….and PROBAR
After skiing at Brighton Resort Saturday morning I headed down to Draper for a meeting. Looking for somewhere that we could chat in a quite atmosphere I spotted a Beans & Brews location on 123rd South.
With 15 locations in the greater Salt Lake City area, Beans & Brews is not only known for it’s atmosphere, it’s signature coffee drink
s but they are known for their desire to participate in the local community. Take for example the numerous organizations that they donate to including United Way of Salt Lake, Jewish Community Center, Wasatch Humane Society, Bingham High School to name just a few. They also have an active recycling program in each of their locations.
But Beans & Brews is thinking globally as well. They are a recognized Fair Trade retailer. What is that you ask?
Fair Trade Certification empowers farmers and farm workers to lift themselves out of poverty by investing in their farms and communities, protecting the environment, and developing the business skills necessary to compete in the global marketplace. Beans & Brews is a retailer of Fair Trade Certified products, both for coffee and tea.
As I walked into this particular Beans & Brews location I immediately spotted 3 boxes of PROBAR on the display rack - Art’s Original Blend, and Superfood Slam. As I ordered I asked how sales of PROBAR are going.
” They sell very well,” responded the woman behind the counter. “A lot of people come in and buy them to either enjoy with their coffee or they’ll get one to go.“
It’s fun to see PROBAR popping up in so many new locations and to hear that they are selling well. To know that people like you and me are enjoying the bar and incorporating it into their lives is in large part why we continue to make a great product that is good food.
