Going Raw with PROBAR
This “Your PROBAR Story” comes to us from customer Beck Berrett who (aside from having a catchy name) has found PROBAR to be an excellent raw food source of nutritional goodness.
I have been on a raw foods diet for the past year. If any of you have taken this on, you know how difficult learning to prepare meals can be. Foods like raw crackers, granolas, etc have to be prepared sometimes days in advance, since the are dehydrated instead of cooked. It isn’t as time consuming after a while, but takes careful planning.
The hardest part had become the snacks I take to my studio with me. The raw trail mixes I was preparing started to bore me and I was always so hungry during the afternoon. My body is running so clean now that the usual bars don’t fill me up, and a quick dollar burger makes me too sick to function.
In October I found a PROBAR in Whole Foods, and was excited about the ingredients but didn’t have high expectations in the taste department! To my surprise, the bar was so delicious! The best part though, was how full and satisfied I felt for hours afterwards.
Now, as part of my regular routine, I hit the Whole Foods across town once a week to stock up. PROBAR is a regular part of my diet now. Thank you!

Update: This is some additional feedback from Beck. Thanks for sharing!
…I have lost 28 pounds, always a plus, but wasn’t really the point of this. I have become very aware which foods react well in my system and what foods I am lacking at a given time. I am no longer allergic to onions and cats, funny huh? Some unhealthy food I’d been eating might have been making my immune system weak enough to mimic or cause allergies?
Anyway, your bars run clean in my system, and keep me full for hours. Sometimes I can only eat half a bar, it is so packed with goodies! They sure do make my day run smoothly, I always have one in my bag.

R these raw? They are so good and it’s nice to have something chewy and fast… I don’t care about the slight heating of cashews to deshell, but what is the grained dark chocolate chip thing in the Koka Moka.. they do rock, but are they raw? Almost too good and too easy!

Samantha - they are not entirely raw, mostly raw, but not 100%. That said, the bars are not baked but they are blended. A few of the ingredients like the nut butter and particularly the granola oats are not entirely raw. We’re glad you like the Koka Moka
