When we’re out on the road in stores, at food shows or just passing a PROBAR from one person to another one of the key points we make when talking
about the Superfood Slam is that it has greens in it from Amazing Grass.
(As an aside I mentioned to a friend who was staying with us last week that the bar he was eating had amazing grass in it and he titled his head, gave me a curious smile and said, “oh really? I’ve had some amazing grass before but never quite like this…” We all laughed at the way I had presented Amazing Grass to someone that had never heard of it before.)
Anyway, we partnered with Amazing Grass on this bar because of their commitment to providing the best super greens blend. The blend contains wheat grass, barley grass, oat grass and alfalfa powder - all of which are organic. With all that green in there how is it that we can make such a delicious bar that doesn’t leave the impression that you’ve just been grazing in the back pasture?
The secret is the raspberry puree. As with most all of our ingredients (with the rare exception like the relationship with Amazing Grass) we source the raspberries ourselves to ensure the quality of the berry and then puree them. Add to the raspberry pure some grain sweetened dark chocolate chips and it’s a Superfood revolution!
