This Your PROBAR Story comes to us from customer Jennette Hicks who made the right choice by grabbing some PROBARS for her recent cruise. Trouble is, she didn’t grab enough. Check it out:

I have never been one to ear meal bars because I think that they are too high in calories and sugar content and I never seem to remain satisfied for a long enough period of time.

I am vegan, and as my mom and I were preparing to leave on a cruise, she suggested I bring some meal bars of some kind in case the food on the ship did not suit my needs.

After standing idly in front of the health bar section of Whole Foods for what seemed like forever, a customer walked up and grabbed some PROBARs saying that they were the best bars out there and that he was personal friends of the creators. Upon hearing this, I picked up a PROBAR, read through the wrapper and was ecstatic to learn that they were vegan. I decided on 3 different flavors and went on my way.

I really only got the bars to appease my mom, not thinking I was actually going to need or eat them. Within hours of embarking on the trip I soon realized how un-vegan friendly a cruise ship can be. I had my first bar, Superfood Slam, on the first night and was immediately hooked. It tasted amazingly! I went from very hungry to satiated within minutes.

I soon realized that only bringing 3 of these bars on a 5 day cruise was a big mistake. Since I’ve been back I have definitely added PROBARs to my regular shopping list. As I am currently studying Nutrition and working on becoming an R.D., I greatly appreciate PROBARs from a health perspective and also as normal person who likes delicious things.
