From Philmont Scout Ranch to Jackson Hole

We received this story from Allen Hughes who after discovering PROBAR in his meals while at the Boy Scouts of America’s Philmont Scout Ranch, he later took the bars to Jackson Hole, Wyoming where he and a crew of scout volunteers teamed up with the Forest Service to create the Arrow Trail which is a mountain bike trail that has been well received by Jackson locals.

Thanks for your community service Allen and for being one of many new customers thanks to finding our bars at Philmont this past summer.

I was a participant in the Order of the Arrow’s Arrow Corp 5 this summer.  This is where we sent 5000 arrowmen to 5 National Parks (1000 each) over 5 weeks.  I was at the Bridger-Teton National Forest in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

There were over 1100 participants on site for a week. We cut over 11.5 miles of new bike trail in the Teton Pass, removed over 5 miles of fencing in the Goosewing, redirected numerous raods in the Gros Ventre, and reduced fuels in the Falls Creek.

Probars were in our Philmont Scout Ranch meals and these little wonders sustained us at high altitudes >7500 feet, while performing strenuous activities invovled with trail blazing.

The organic grains mixed with the nuts and seeds all held together with the sweet fruit juice was a joy in the afternoon when the bodies were giving out.  The bar was like a treat and the carbohydrates pumped us up for another two hours of work.

If you get to Jackson Hole, mountain bike the Arrow Trail and see what the Order of the Arrow and Probars have created.
