Last month I posted a story about Allen Hughes who found PROBAR the Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico.  We’ve received a number of customer stories that cite being introduced to the bars at Philmont, including the story below from Dennis Keiser of Mifflinburg, PA.

Three weeks ago, I started an eleven day, 65 mile trek with my Boy Scout Troop at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico.

Philmont provided our crew with trail food for our trek and the food was divided into two person meals, with three meals per day. The every first meal that I had on the trail contained one of your Probars. It was the first time I had your product and I must say it was love at first bite.

Since some of my Scouts don’t perfer health food as they called it, it was very easy to trade cookies and other teenager food for Probars. When ever we would come to a Staff Camp that had a swap box, my Scouts would always look for Probars to trade with Mr. Keiser.

Your product give this 55 year old Scoutmaster the energy I needed to climb those New Mexico mountains and hike those long trails. They were a great treat and I look forward to using them on my next backpacking trip.
