“Be prepared” took on a new meaning for Brian Yarbrough and his fellow Boy Scouts this summer while they backpacked in New Mexico. PROBAR once again stood up not only to the nutrition test but also to the taste test. No extra scout seasonings needed on PROBAR–just eat straight from the package!

This summer I went to the Philmont Boy Scout Ranch in Northern New Mexico. We spent twelve days on a once in a life time backpacking trip. As you can guess, this meant that all the food we carried had to be not only compact, but high in nutrition and non-perishable.

When it came time for our first lunch we pulled out some crackers, canned ham, and these things that the camp had given us labeled PROBAR. Being that we had never seen nor heard of these before, we were a bit skeptical. However, we were still hungry so I decided to try a bite, and I was honestly astounded. It just so happened that this particular bar was the Cran-Lemon Twister and I loved it!

After I ate the rest, we decided to check out the ingredients and were amazed at how jam-packed of nutrients they were. The next day at lunch, and every day for the rest of the trip, we looked forward to the organic deliciousness of the PROBAR. Several weeks later when eating the same type of food in Wyoming, I made sure to point the PROBARs out to the other scouts I was with.
