Boy Scout Troop 400 of Richmond Hill, Georgia recently visited the 216 square mile Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico. Over a week period, we hiked nearly 80 miles with heavy packs in bear country. This required that we send up “bear bags” every night with our “smellables.”

Besides toothpaste and soap, the most ubiquitous article in the Scout’s bags were the PROBARs provided by the BSA and horded by the Scouts for quick energy during the next day’s hike. We really enjoyed them and they provided just the right amount of food to quell our hunger and propel our tired, aching feet up the 10,000 foot mountains. For flatlanders, that was quite a feat! We thank-you for your product, it is delicious and healthy!
