I've been active and into sports for as long as I can remember. I started getting into endurance sports in high school, xc running and skiing, which lead me to competing in three NCAA Division 1 sports in college. I started racing triathlons after college to 'stay in shape' and after a couple of seasons I got my pro license. My career highlight came in 2011 when I placed 3rd at the ITU Cross Triathlon World Championships.
They taste great, there's a ton of variety and when I eat PROBARs I feel like I'm eating whole food with real nutrients and not a bar with added vitamins. They give me great energy and fuel me well for training and everyday life! Plus PROBAR® is from Park City and I like to support local companies.
When Not Adventuring
When I'm not training or racing I'm looking after my son Torin who was born Dec 18th, 2012 and learning the ways of being a mom. I'm also enjoying being first time homeowners with my partner Ian and my Border Collie Kip. If that's not enough, I coach a junior Nordic program, work as a freelance photographer, teach Computrainer classes, and teach cross country skiing and work at the local bike shop, White Pine Touring.
Proving women can be in even better shape after having a child! I will race the XTERRA (Off-Road) Triathlon Pro Series in the U.S. in the summer of 2013 followed by the XTERRA World Championships in Maui in October. I'll also race a lot on my mountain bike and compete for the Salomon Trail Running Team at several of the Ragnar Trail Relays.
