I started climbing twenty years ago at the age of twelve on the granite cracks in little cottonwood canyon, close to my current home in Salt Lake City. In those twenty years, climbing has exposed me to a variety of mediums, rock, ice, big walls, but none have been more exciting than a high mountain top in the Himalaya.
Six years ago, while seeking balance in my life and a pursuit other than climbing, a friend and myself opened Higher Ground Coffee Shop in Salt Lake City. Our business and my love for climbing share a similarity.
