Lauren Antonucci, MS, RD, CSSD, CDE, CDN is a busy mom of three young children, (ages 10, 8 and 5), who spends her days helping individuals learn how to eat to better in order to meet their individual nutrition needs, improve their energy and performance, and reduce risk of chronic disease. She teaches both nutrition education and behavioral change, and guides her clients through the process of changing their relationship with food, to allow freedom to eat what you what and want what you eat, without guilt. In the mornings, afternoons and evenings, she helps her children navigate healthfully through the world of balanced breakfasts, healthy and tasty afternoon snacks, family dinners and plenty of planned and impromptu activity (exercise) and fun! Lauren is a Nationally Recognized Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Board Certified Sports Dietitian and Endurance Athlete. Over the past 17 years, Antonucci has served as the Sports Dietitian for the TCS NYC Marathon and NYC Triathlon, as the Nutrition columnist for Triathlete magazine for three years, and has presented on Endurance Sports Nutrition and Hydration best practices to ACSM, the Greater New York Dietetic Association, USATriathlon and countless Collegiate and Adult Triathlon and Marathon teams across the country. As a three time Ironman finisher, and a 3:10 marathoner, Antonucci not all talks the talk, but walks the walk..or swims, bikes and run's the Tri. Antonucci is the Founder and Director of Nutrition Energy, a private nutrition counseling and consulting practice in NYC where she and her team of RDN's have helped thousands of athletes reach their full potential through optimizing their nutrition and hydration. As a Certified Diabetes Educator who works with endurance athletes, Antonucci is one of only a small number of Sports Dietitians who works with DM1 endurance athletes helping them successfully balance their carb and insulin needs during training and racing. In her spare time, Antonucci can be found running in Central Park, NY, where she personally "tests" every new sports nutrition product, playing with her three young children, or planning her next traveling adventure.
