Sponsorship

We thank you for your interest in a PROBAR sponsorship. In order for your sponsorship to be considered we require that you follow the steps below:

1. Learn More About Our Sponsorships

We look at our sponsorships as bringing another person into the PROBAR family and expect that before you even approach us that you’ve already got great passion for our product. On the same note we prefer to develop an ongoing relationship with an event or individual sponsorship. Please consider you willingness to commit to this type of relationship before applying.

Though we’d like to sponsor everyone that submits an application we allocate our sponsorship budget as generously as possible. We’re honored that you’d consider PROBAR as a potential sponsor. Applications will be reviewed mid-month in February, May, August and November. If you or your event is chosen you will be notified by the end of that month. Unfortunately due to the volume of applications we receive we will not be able to notify everyone that they have been denied.

As a growing company, our sponsorship budget is given as “in kind” product support rather than cash funds. Quite honestly, we think our product ranks right up there with cash. We hope you agree.

All Sponsorships

How do I go about requesting a sponsorship for an event or individual athlete?

First of all we want to thank you for your request! All sponsorship requests MUST go through the website or unfortunately they will not be considered, as we receive too many to keep up with otherwise. Thank you in advance for your understanding and we look forward to seeing your applications!

How long until I get a response regarding my sponsorship request?

We do receive a large volume of requests and it takes quite a bit of time to get through them. We do our best to get back to everyone in a timely manner, however, if you don’t get a response during this time frame we apologize, but we were unable to fulfill your request. If we’re unable to fulfill your request please remember to continue to submit for future events, as we hope to work with you in future!

Can I follow up with a phone call or email?

Feel free to email your follow-up questions to sponsorships@theprobar.com. This will go directly to our Sponsorship Team. Please don’t email prior to the quarterly meeting during the quarter your application was submitted, as we probably won’t be able to give you a solid answer. Please refrain from calling the PROBAR office, as our office staff will not be able to assist you. Thanks in advance for your understanding! What if my sponsorship has not been accepted?

We’d love to be able to sponsor everyone, but unfortunately can’t get bars to that many people. PROBAR, however, would love for you to continue to send in applications for your future events, as we’d love to try to get bars to everyone that we can throughout the year!

How competitive are PROBAR sponsorships?

As you know (or you wouldn’t be here) PROBAR is a premium product with a wonderful following! We have a very competitive sponsorship program because we prefer to establish lasting relationships with people/events. Additionally, we receive a large number of applications on a daily basis.

Event Sponsorships

How far in advance should my event sponsorship request be submitted?

The sooner the better, but not years in advance. Event applications with less than a 90 day lead time will not be considered due to the volume of applications that we receive. Please remember that even though we do need a 90 day lead time we will not be able to answer you 6 months prior to your event in most cases.

What type of events does PROBAR sponsor?

We sponsor many kinds of events…running, cycling, non- athletic, you name it. However, we do like to develop an ongoing relationship with an event if possible. (2 years + minimum) Short term “one and done” type of event sponsorships are less likely to receive support than an existing event that has longevity. Events that are centered around a cause or a non-profit entity that is tied to our values of an active, healthy lifestyle is an ideal fit.

What does PROBAR expect of the event and organizer?

At a minimum we expect sponsored events to:
  1. Use of PROBARs logo on the event website and on all printed material
  2. Display PROBAR signage and banners during the event
  3. Provide every racer/participant with a PROBAR
  4. 2-4 Facebook/Twitter mentions with link back to our site
  5. Send an email to racers/participants 2 weeks post race giving racers a 40% discount code off PROBAR purchases

Individual Sponsorships

What type of individuals does PROBAR sponsor?

We typically sponsor athletes but will consider non-athletes that appear to be a "good fit." such as super moms, physical trainers, nutritionists, public speakers, etc… More importantly we we expect that you are a self promoter. The minimum expectations we have for our sponsored athletes are:
  1. Maintain an active website or blog
  2. Maintain an account and post to Facebook & Twitter weekly
  3. Willingness to act as a brand ambassador by spreading the word about PROBAR
  4. Willingness to be a part of the PROBAR family through contributions to our newsletter.

What does PROBAR expect in return?

We expect you to keep us updated on what’s going on in your world. We’ll blog about you and post about you on our site and expect the same in return. At a minimum we expect our sponsored individuals to:
  1. Represent PROBAR through use of our logo on your site and gear
  2. Provide a short monthly column for use in our newsletter, blog, and social media pages
  3. Provide PROBAR with rights to images of you for use on our website and social media pages
  4. Provide a product testimonial for use on our website and social media pages

What does PROBAR look for in an sponsorship?

We look for a sponsorship to be impactful and lasting. We feel like those we sponsor will be part of the family. Our main goal is to sponsor individuals who stand for what our company and our product stands for. Those without passion, integrity and dependability need not apply!
